Who we are
CBAM Advisory is the consulting division of Decarbonise Fuel Limited, 19 Springfield Road, Guildford, GU1 4DW, UK (company number 12596071). We are responsible for the information you give us. You can reach us at contact@cbamadvisory.com.
What we collect
- When you use our Contact form: your name, email, organisation (if you add it), what type of company you are, your topic and your message.
- When you use our Filing form: your name, email, the areas where you need support, your market (EU or UK), your role, your sector, and your product code and yearly import volume if you give them.
- If you email us, we keep your email.
- To block spam, our system makes a scrambled code from your internet connection. It is not your real address, and it is deleted after about one hour.
- The EU CBAM checker and the impact calculator work inside your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry and to give you the support you ask for. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing. Our legal reason is "legitimate interests" (answering the person who contacted us).
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 12 months and then delete them. If we start working together, we keep your details for as long as needed for that work and for our legal and accounting records.
Who can see it
Our team, and the companies that help run our website and email (our hosting and email providers). One of our team members works from Pakistan, so your details can be opened from outside the UK. We protect them with suitable safeguards.
Cookies and website statistics
The website works without cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, but only if you click "Accept all cookies". If you click "Accept only essential cookies", no statistics are collected. You can change your choice at any time. Google may process this information in other countries, including the USA.
Your rights
You can ask to see your information, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or object to how we use it. Email contact@cbamadvisory.com. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page.
